First Baptist of Norfolk
 Old Salt Box Organized in 1800, the church is one of the few black independent congregations to exist during slavery. The church itself and location was acquired in 1830. Old Salt Box was designed by Reuben H.Hunt, who also designed Court Street Baptist, Portsmouth.
